About this deal

I’ve talked a lot about the bottles, and the presentation, but that is where my issues with the range end. Let’s look at the paint itself.

With the base colors done and shaded, you can remove the silly putty and clean-up any missed spots from the airbrush with a conventional brush. Skin, as a substitute for this one. If you want more warmth, mix 50/50 Tanned Skin 9044 with Golden there are some tutorials, but not too many. Michael Mordor for example, or i think i saw a tutorial for the starter box once. (by a youtube channel called “killermini’s” upon searching for it again.) And on their youtube channel they have a lot of twitch streams, for example Miniature Monday (by mini painting studio). But yes, you’re right: i don’t think any of the (now) more popular people in the youtube mini painting bubble that use MSP. Nor blogs for that matter. I was therefore very glad to read this very nice review! Once you have the glaze mixed, use a small brush to put just a little bit of the paint on the tip. Since the paint is so wet with thinner, if there’s too much paint on the brush it will run and we wont have the kind of control we want. Use your nail, the base of the model, or the pallet to test it a bit to make sure you have good control over the paint coming off the brush.

And finally a small selection of technical paints. I never used the primer but the flow improver and sealer are both pretty good. All the paintings are carefully designed by our own designers. Dark Color follows the trend to update the most popular pictures daily to make you catch the trend timely. Like the rest of the paints in this range, it has a really nice matte finish. Mephiston Red: This is a rich, deep red that can be used to paint the details and accents on the miniatures painted with Dark Reaper. It can also be used to create a split-complementary color scheme. You can highlight the rims conventionally (basecoating with Dawnstone and highlighting with Administratum Grey) or simply drybrush the whole tire with Dawnstone and call it a day.Once it’s broken down you realise that this is a very good set. A complete rainbow of hues with some strong focus on the green shades (makes sense as the human eye can see more shades of green than any other colour). SKELETON KEY: A good start for any tarnished silver metal or armor; highlight with 09454 Mithril Silver. Also could be good to suggest *magical* steel where you want it to look just a little different. Time for the wings. Here I’m just going to get away with drybrushing. I do progressively lighter mixes of Celestra Gray and Xereus Purple here, which helps give me a much more muted tone on the wings. Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error Above I have applied every common technique I know to this Classic Great Unclean one. I think that I’ve made a pretty impressive result with such a classic model.

This special Dungeon Dwellers: Monster Colors paint set includes six all-new half-ounce (.5 oz) bottles of Reaper Master Series Bones Paints. These high-coverage paints work perfectly on metal, resin, or plastic models. Perfect for beginning and advanced painters! Our team is dedicated to improving our app and ensuring a seamless user experience for all our users. We have taken note of the problems you mentioned and are already working on finding solutions. I mostly have experience withe the “MSP core colors”, but i have 3 or 4 “MSP bones paints” lying around. I find these very strange. they have a gel-ish consistency, and i’m a bit uncomfortable with them. normally i mix them with “normal” paints, and then it’s ok. However I can’t nor want to say that the “MSP bones” are bad – i simply don’t have that much experience with them. I take for granted the breakdown Warhammer offer with their Base, Layer, Shade, Edge, Dry, Air categories. But it’s categorisation which Reaper could seriously do with adopting. I genuinely couldn’t tell what was what. Consider that in 2019 the average person’s attention span is 8 seconds. Being flooded with a list of paints and having to wade through on your own to even categorise things isn’t just offputting, it’s painful.

Painting the Dumpsters

Drybrush a mid-silver (it doesn’t matter which one; I used the old Citadel chainmail but these days I’d use Army Painter Plate Mail Metal)
