About this deal

Wash equipment in warm soapy water before it dries, but it's probably more practical to just throw the rollers away. This can be from either not getting the work done fast enough or from not stirring the product intermittently when applying. Separating the mix can be done by either weight or by volume, but make sure you’re using the one consistent with the datasheet. The winner of our June #showusyourproject competition is a local flooring specialist, @purtfloor of Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent.

PLEASE NOTE: The pot life of this product is 20 minutes. This means that once parts have been mixed, the paint will start to chemically cure after this time. Ensure you remove the paint from the tin in this window. The paint will then be workable on your floor for up to 40 minutes. The floor was prepped and them primed with the epoxy sealer coat, before being finished with the top coat in light grey. When mixing with a mechanical mixer you need to be sure that it is set at a low speed. It may be tempting to crank up the speed to try and mix it faster, but the heat that will be generated from mixing faster would cause issues further down the line. The heat affects the reaction between the base and activator, and has a detrimental impact on the curing. floorsaver Epoxy Floor Paint is a two part epoxy resin supplied as a tin of resin and a tin of curing agent. Once the contents of the two tins have been mixed together, a reaction takes place which causes the product to cure. This means that one 2.5L tin can’t be used for 2 coats. It will cover 15m² with one coat, but if you have for example, 7.5m², you can’t use half the 2.5L tin for the first coat, then wait for the first coat to dry before using the other half for the second coat – it will have gone off in the tin, so select two of these if you want to apply 2 coats to an area of up to 15m². If you have any questions please let us know. Mix Part A on its own with a mixing paddle attached to an electric drill for about 1 minute before adding ALL of Part B and continue to mix for another 90 seconds, keeping the paddle in suspension to avoid mixing air into the unit.Q: I’ve levelled my floor with Arden k301 which I chose because it is suitable for overpainting with resin paint.

Give a good stir with something wide, like a wooden batten or a paint stirrer. If you use an electric paint mixer, also scrape around the sides and bottom of the tin to make sure it's all mixed in. If you enjoy our blog and think you can help give a small business a boost, please feel free to share it to your friends or any classic car forums that you might be part of. To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.Colours are sold in the nearest tin size but actual paint volume per tin may vary up to 10% depending on colour Old paint finishes should be removed if flaking at all and the surface should be sanded to create a texture (also known as a mechanical key) prior to applying Resincoat HB Epoxy Garage Floor Paint. When preparing for a floor coat, doing so mechanically (shot-blasting or grinding) is always advisable for best results, but if that is not possible then sanding the area or our Etch and Clean is a good alternative. After the surface has been completely abraded, thoroughly sweep and vacuum the area of any remaining dust or contaminants. For more information on preparation, please see technical data sheet.

If the parts aren’t mixed together properly then some parts of the surface won’t dry at all. Patches of it may dry, but there will be some bits that haven’t reacted. The only thing to do if this happens is unfortunately to start again. If the induction time was not followed then there are a good few issues that can arise. They are mostly aesthetic, but nonetheless problematic.Thank you for your interest in our product. I do believe the coating would be a good option for a decorative finish. Once fully cured there is unlikely to be any problem with water spilt on the surface, though standing/pooling water could cause the surface to discolour. As many of our customers are classic car owners or business, we though that you might be interested in this small business which offers top quality and authentically made number plates.

Once the base and the activator have been mixed then it initiates the chemical reaction that causes it to cure. So once the two components have been mixed you have a limited amount of time to apply it before it has hardened too much. Often it is recommended to keep stirring at different intervals throughout to give you some extra time to apply the whole mix.We are passionate about championing businesses such as Simpson and Co. The last year really has been a battle for many small companies who have fought to stay afloat during the pandemic.
