Our blunt daggers are made for reenactment combat and martial arts. They are functional and often come with a leather sheath. These daggers are suitable for wearing to medieval fairs and festivals.

I have made a small batch of knife 310 so the knife you receive may differ slightly from the knife pictured above. I have done this to keep the price of this knife affordable.Knives make up the greater part of our smithy’s production, but we also make Viking long knives with bone handles (called Seax or scramasax). These knives were so important to the Germanic peoples in the period of migration that they actually lent their name to the Saxon peoples and, by extension, some of the lands they once ruled over (Essex, Wessex, Middlesex…). The long history of the seax is still going strong today as companies young and old are making new versions of the historic blade. These five are some of the more unique and exciting seax knives available today. These blades are forged from twisted bars of 15N20 and 1080 steel, offcuts from forging patternwelded swords and seaxes. The Scandinavians usually lived in villages, farmed the land and raised animals. In such an agrarian society, they also needed tools to help them work the land and harvest the fruits of their labor. This is also where a knife came into play.

This seax from Medieval Collectibles has the look and feel of a knife from the Viking era.
