About this deal

Jin-Woo becomes a cliched, overpowered main character, but O-M-G it worked so darn well. Seriously, the fight scenes in this manhwa progressively becomes more epic as Jin-Woo's badass-o-meter (and hotness) just kept getting higher and higher. The artwork was the primary reason why it was so well-executed. The badassery was off the charts and I lost count of how many times I've flailed from the sheer epicness of the story told through the mind-blowing visuals. Scenes were rendered in vivid brilliance, as the dynamism from the drawings and flow of the panels gave the action a palpable sense of underlying motion. I could not say it enough, the artwork was absolutely amazing! I don't think later volumes of this series are on Goodreads (I believe there are 5), but I got most of the way through the series before giving up. I felt like we just kept going around on the merry-go-round, and I got off on what I assume was the end of the second to last round. I didn't want to go through another 6 hours to see the same thing again, but this time with a stronger boss monster after what little mystery there was had been solved, but unsatisfactorily with hand waving away the parts of the system that didn't fit the resolution. After becomes the powerfull hunter, cool character, not really arrogant and still keeping his beloved family. (THE GENTLEMEN FOR YOU) a fun evil Idea that i got at the end, since everyone, or mostly everyone abandoned the hero, when he succeeds the challenge, he would then become a Boss himself, and just take it out on humans, i got the thought mainly because of how angry he was that he got abandoned near death, his desire to live. Some people experienced this "Awakening" and were given the title of "Hunter". These Hunters possess supernatural abilities and are more powerful than an average human — Superhero vibes

I've read the german edition so I'll continue it in german, but for those of you who don't know - I didn't - it is available in english!

I fell in love with the art - it is G O R G E O U S! The color combination, the battle scenes ... I have no complains, it's just PERFECT Sayyed, Rayan (April 3, 2023). Solo Leveling (나 혼자만 레벨업, Na Honjaman Lebel-eob) is a Korean webtoon series written by Chu-Gong and illustrated by Jang Su-Rak and Gi Si-Ryeong. It follows the adventures of Sung Jinwoo, a young and infamously incompetent Korean hunter, in his quest to become the strongest hunter of them all. The novel has been licensed and published in collected volumes by Yen Press since February 16, 2021. [1] Volume list [ edit ] No. a b 나 혼자만 레벨업 7[Level Up Alone (7)]. Naver Book Database (in Korean). Book 1 of Solo Leveling focuses primarily on Sung Jinwoo’s development – how he got these leveling skills and his initial explorations to figure out what the hell is going on. Naturally, there’s a lot of focus on the System (aka the RPG UI interface) he interacts with as he learns. We don’t go too heavy on the guilds or really into other supporting characters, which might read strangely to Western readers unfamiliar with webnovels, but keep in mind the full story has 240+ chapters and we’re only getting the first 12 or so!I remember staying up until like 4am to read the manhwa when I had really originally wanted to read maybe the first 5 of 179 (beautifully drawn) chapters but I digress. Is this original? Nope. Does it do anything new that hasn't been done in isekai type anime/LNs? Nope. But it does it extremely well. I liked that this delved more into the world and covers more stuff compared to the manhwa. In later arcs it's too obvious it's copying another manga. Not necessarily copying, maybe getting too inspired? I still want to know how it'll turn out, though, like now but I ran out of released chapters. I'd read this immediately after the ending of season 1 in the webtoon because it had ended in such a hype fashion I just *had* to continue the story in some way. At the beginning, it was a great read but as more chapters pass, the story got a little too nationalistic for my taste. Solo Leveling, Vol. 3 (comic)". Yen Press. At this point the story starts to drag, the MC doesn’t run into anymore real challenges, he doesn’t even have any moral dilemmas about killing people (that last one deserved it, but the first eight I expected him to hesitate a little more). Super man syndrome I suppose, how to make a challenge for a character that basically now has super strength and can solve all his problems? I guess I’ll find out in the later volumes.

Magic Beasts

In a world where hunters —human warriors who possess supernatural abilities — must battle deadly monsters to protect mankind from certain annihilation, a notoriously weak hunter named Sung Jinwoo finds himself in a seemingly endless struggle for survival. One day, after narrowly surviving an overwhelmingly powerful double dungeon that nearly wipes out his entire party, a mysterious program called the System chooses him as its sole player and in turn, gives him the extremely rare ability to level up in strength and turn anyone he kills into a loyal minion called a shadow. Jinwoo then sets out on a journey as he fights against all kinds of enemies, both man and monster, to discover the secrets of the dungeons and the true source of his powers.
