My father used to have the old sticker version in the 90’s, multiple bottles over years, to the extent that this scent summarises my childhood and represents an era. The oils serve as a carrier of the fragrance, whereas the alcohol forms a bridge between oil and skin. This is wonderful Italian perfumery, perfect for Mediterranean climate or those in-between seasons, especially spring. It's a very old school, masculine, aromatic fougere that checks all the boxes with sharp citrus, lavender, tobacco, wood.

A 200ml bottle for a fraction under eighty Australian dollars, delivered, is outstanding in my opinion. Although I prefer the original in the air, this one would work better in those afternoon, date night scents throughout the entire year. I can best compare it to an old best friend that you haven't seen in years, but then you randomly run into them. I’ve received quite a few compliments with this and despite being an older scent I’d still say it’s relevant and appealing to this day !It’s not burnt tobacco but rather something like freshly-cut tobacco leaves, or maybe the flowers of a tobacco plant. Grapefruit, Bergamot, Sicilian Mandarin, and Juniper are the top notes; Pepper, Rosemary, and Brazilian Rosewood are the middle notes; while Incense, Musk, and Oakmoss are the base notes.

The good news is that the latest version still smells great and even though I’m not sure that younger generations can appreciate it, my generation will probably love it as much as I do. Because there is no decorative packaging, we can purchase these items for less and pass the savings on to you. You can safely overspray on your body and clothes,i do like 10+ sprays everytime i use it and it shines. The base notes form the foundation of the fragrance, rounds off the smell experience and gives the fragrance a certain degree of depth. At the three hour mark the projection was about arms length and there was still a moderately noticeable scent trail.To my nose smells very similar, if not exactly like the vintage formula I wore in the 90’s and early 2000’s. One of the most versatile fragrances in terms of temperature variations and occasions, i can’t find a time or place that you can’t use this one, and great choice for the soapy scents lovers.
