About this deal

Morning Glory Milking Farm offers full-time hours, full benefits, and generous pay with no experience needed . It’s slow burn and sweet and the hero is stern and a little bit of a dominating daddy and I need fan art ASAP. I was totally cheering for Violet and Rourke, and would 100% read more in this series or from this author.

So why not just use the machines and save these poor girls the risk of early onset arthritis from gripping those huge, girthy, veiny triumphant bastards? A friend dropped a link as a “check out this obscure and slightly obscene book I found” and my depraved mind immediately was intrigued… and horrified? There is a mutual connection between Violet’s favourite minotaur (whose name turns out to be Rourke) and herself and he makes a special request for her to be the technician he sees for his appointments. This is a perfect read for people who are in a Halloween-y mood, and is looking for a short, sweet, funny swoony monster romance. All the talk of cows got me confused at first picturing Rourke as a centaur, not a minotaur, and the details weren’t adding up.If I imagined the minotaur as more human it was okay but when I was confronted by the reality of his cow-ness, the sex scenes were less successful for me. There's no conflict, no plot, only interesting world-building, adorable characters, and wholesome, filthy romance. There’s also some commentary about people (well, in this case, minotaurs) being commodified which added to the mix. And they’re minotaurs…I get that they’re a hybrid beast, but it would have been wonderful to see that they had pubic hair resembling a labyrinth or something with their reproductive organs to set them apart.

And I think my only problem is that the timeline of the story is a little bit messy, like I had to re-read some parts to understand if it was the past or the present because it was just kind of thrown in, so there was a little bit of confusion in that part. He took Violet out, spoiled her, held off for a while before getting busy because he wanted her to know that he wanted her, and it wasn't just a physical thing. Like the last time, he was completely erect, hanging stiffly above like a particularly decadent, juicy-looking fruit.

I picked this book up because the same people who recommended I MARRIED A LIZARDMAN were touting this book and I actually liked the lizardman book. Rourke keeps talking about needing to prepare Violet given the, uh, girth of his member, yet it felt like the foreplay was incredibly quick and then she was totally able to take him. This is set in a world full of monsters, like vampires, orgs, elves and most importantly, minotaurs. For instance, the milking technicians had to use their hands to perform manual stimulation, despite having a machine-assisted process if the clients took to long to finish. There’s as sexual event to it for the client in need of assistance, but it’s more like… home health care, I guess.

It’s kind of amazing how a story about a young lady who takes a job giving handjobs to minotaurs for science turns into something sweet and romantic. Soon her talents are noticed by a particular Minotaur and suddenly Violet’s clinical mindset and strictly-professional boundaries are thrown out the window as she can’t help but feel very intrigued by a certain bull. Regine Abel still holds the crown for creating well rounded beast erotica, but CM Nascosta came pretty darn close to matching that high standard. It was smutty because of violet’s job — she worked at Morning Glory Milking Farm and jacked off Minotaurs — but she and Rourke didn’t actually get together, outside of the farm, until 70% into the book (that was when they went on their first date). Anyway this story was surprisingly good, straddling the razor’s edge between romance and smut effectively. It’s not the kind of book I would usually pick up – it’s definitely one which was purely as a result of multiple *multiple* Twitter recs. Your comfort is the only thing that counts right now, and if I overstep, I want you to know you can tell me so. It was an enjoyable read, but I wouldn't say it was a spicy book (in my opinion), if that's what you're looking for.
